The hull was in perfect condition. A painstaking check showed that none of the larch planking had any signs of rot.
Copious quantities of red lead insured she would last into the next century and beyond.
Once the hull was ready, and we had nervously, drilled through the stem post to fit a drive shaft, we launched her. In keeping with tradition we broke a bottle of Champagne across the bow!
Once back in the water we set about replacing the deck and cabin.
In fact there wasn't much original roof left!
